World Cord Sets, Inc. policies regarding backorders, cancellations, shipments, minimum orders, payments, returns, and warranty are listed below.

Backorder
We will enter your order to ship complete, unless you specify differently. If a part is out of stock you will be notified, via email or phone or FAX, with an estimated ship date for the backordered part(s). You can decide at this point if you want a partial shipment.

Delivery of the backordered part(s) will be subject to additional shipping fees.

Cancellation of a backordered item is subject to a 25% Order Cancellation Fee.

We can’t guarantee the ship date of backordered item

Cancellations

If you cancel your order BEFORE it is shipped, you will be assessed a 25% cancellation fee  plus the cost of the material processed to date.

If you cancel your order AFTER it has been shipped, please follow our Return Policies & Procedures. The cancellation will have to be treated as a Return with all applicable fees.

Orders which are REFUSED AT DELIVERY will be assessed all of the applicable fees listed above - including restocking, cancellation and other applicable fees.

Drop & Blind Shipments

Blind Drop Shipments are common place for World Cord Sets.We encourage you to send us your company packing slip for use on the shipment.

Minimum Order

$50 minimum order for standard stock power cords

$100 minimum order for standard stock high temperature products

$100 minimum order for standard stock GFCI and RCD products

Custom assembled or molded products are subject to minimum quantity amounts and are evaluated on a case by case by case basis.

Payment

  • COD: COD shipping is available to customers who already have an account with us and have established a reliable payment history. COD shipping is subject to additional fees as levied by the currier (UPS, FEDEX). COD shipping is only available within the United States.If the currier cannot collect payment the package will be returned to World Cord Sets and your order will be subject to additional fees and will be treated as REFUSED AT DELIVERY.
  • CREDIT CARDS: We accept Mastercard, VISA and American Express credit cards. Your card will be charged when your order is ready to ship. Custom orders may require partial or full payment in advance. Unless requested, we do not keep credit card information on file for security reasons.
  • OPEN ACCOUNT: We extend NET 30 DAYS terms from date of invoice for those customers who successfully apply for credit. If you wish to apply for credit please send us your credit references. World Cord Sets reserves the right to rescind NET 30 DAYS credit for any reason.
  • WIRE TRANSFER: International customers are required to prepay by wire transfer. We will send you a Pro Forma Invoice in advance. A wire transfer fee may be required and is situation dependent. If a wire transfer fee is required it will be shown on the Pro Forma Invoice.

Policy by Product

  • STANDARD STOCK items are subject to a restocking fee of 25% if returned. Typically these items can ship out same day so long as we get the order 1 hour prior to currier pick up (approximate pick-up times: FEDEX is 4:00 EST, UPS is 4:30 EST).
  • CUSTOM ASSEMBLED are sold as NCNR (No Cancel / No Return). Typical lead time on these is 2 to 3 days from order clarification. Exact lead times are determined on a case by case basis.
  • CUSTOM MOLDED are sold as NCNR (No Cancel / No Return). Typical lead time is 2 weeks if done in the USA and 8 to 12 weeks if done overseas. Exact lead times are determined on a case by case basis.

Returns for Refund
A 25% restocking charge applies to all returns for refund if the below conditions are met.

Return window is 30 days from original ship date. The original shipping charges associated with shipping the order to the buyer are not refundable, unless the reason for the return is a result of Seller's error. Buyer shall be responsible for shipping charges incurred when shipping a product back to World Cord Sets for a refund or exchange, unless the reason for the return is a result of Seller's error.

Contact World Cord Sets to request a return material authorization (RMA) number.

A return material authorization number shall be provided within two business days.

Product must be received at World Cord Sets within 30 days of return material authorization issue date.

Ship the product inside a cardboard box with appropriate filler to prevent damage in transit.

Include a copy of the return material authorization inside the shipping carton

The return material authorization number must be on the outside of the shipping carton or the package shall be refused at the receiving dock.

Ship via a carrier that provides tracking numbers in order to provide "signed" proof of delivery to our address.

Product must be 100% complete, in original packaging, and in resalable condition or Seller reserves the right to deny the return or apply additional restocking charges.

All items will be physically inspected by Seller's receiving department and refund shall be issued after identification and determination of the condition of the material.

Refunds are made to the original credit card or by a mailed company check if order was paid for with check.

Shipping Costs
Buyer is responsible for shipping costs.

  • PPA - shipping charges billed to buyer through seller as a separate line item on invoice
  • Collect - shipping charges billed to receiver of goods through freight carrier (UPS, FEDEX, ...)
  • Collect 3rd Party - shipping charges billed to 3rd party through freight carrier (UPS, FEDEX, ...)

Additional fees, if incurred, will be invoiced to buyer. Additional fees may include but are not limited to incorrect address, incorrect shipping account number, shipping account not current, refused delivery

Warranty
If the goods furnished to the Buyer shall fail, due to defective material or workmanship, within one (1) year  from the date of shipment, the Seller shall replace such non-conforming goods or repair such non-conforming goods without charge to the buyer. This warranty does not apply if the goods have been damaged by accident, abuse, misuse, modification or misapplication; by damage during shipment; or improper service. The foregoing warranty is exclusive and no other warranty, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranty of merchantability or fitness for a general or particular purpose or design shall exist in connection with any of the goods supplied hereunder And all such warranties are expressly excluded. This warranty allocates the risk of the failure of goods between the Seller and the Buyer as authorized by applicable law. No employee, agent, dealer, or other person is authorized to give any warranties on behalf of the Seller or to assume for the Seller any other liability in connection with any of its goods except in writing and signed by an officer of the Seller.

The use of the Seller's goods should be in accordance with the provision of International Standards for the applicable country, the national Electric Code, U.L., and/or other industry or military standards that are pertinent to the particular end use. Installation or use not in accordance with these codes and standards could be hazardous. Compliance is the Buyer's responsibility.
