What we do

Founded in 2002, World Cord Sets, Inc. is a manufacturer and supplier of power cords, cord sets, and connectors for data centers, servers, OEM and industrial equipment, healthcare, and international deployments.

We engineer from our Connecticut headquarters and manufacture across US and overseas facilities — matching every build to your specification, lead time, and budget. From a single prototype to a ten-thousand-unit production run, there is no minimum order, and every cord is 100% electrically tested before it ships.

We are built to be an extension of your team: engineering, configuration, global compliance, and US-based support under one roof. When the cord matters, you talk to a real engineer — not a call center.

How we build it

Two production lines under one roof in East Windsor — the Z-Lock+ line and a custom assembly shop. What we do not build, we source from UL-listed factories and inspect on receipt.

    Spec & engineering

    Connector, gauge, jacket, length, colour and approvals — the bill of materials is authored during the quote, not after the order.

    Cut & strip

    Cut to length from spool stock; ROJ and cut-back where the design calls for it.

  3. 3

    Crimp

    Applicator set per gauge, pull force checked to IPC/WHMA-A-620 criteria; first-article inspection on every run.

  4. 4

    Assemble

    Connector bodies, strain reliefs and colour ID rings — hand-terminated builds from in-stock components typically ship in 3–4 business days.

    Test every cord we build

    Hi-pot and continuity on every unit; three fails go to rework, never to a box.

    Serialize & label

    A serial is born at the label station; UL mark labels are controlled stock (Z-Lock+ is UL Listed under file E360479).

    Pack

    Every item scanned into the box, carton weight checked against the plan, tracking label scanned back before it leaves.
