When buying power cables for your next data center installation, you will have to make the decision on buying SVT cables vs SJT cables. (Most commonly found with C14 to C13 10A Cables). In this short article we'll go over the advantages and disadvantages of both cables to help you make the right buying decision.


SJT

SJT stands for Service Junior Thermoplastic, which, in all honesty, does not really mean anything to you. So, let's look at some of the information regarding SJT jacket used with 18/3 conductors.

SVT


SVT stands for Service Vacuum Thermoplastic and is a lighter duty version of SJT cordage. Designed for light indoor used, it is thinner and slightly less durable that it's SJT counterpart. Let's look at some of the technical information regarding SVT cordage.
