96 power cords for Switzerland: the SEV 1011 (Type J) plug, 230 V 50 Hz mains, EU DoC + CE accepted via MRA; voluntary SEV/Electrosuisse Safety mark required. Country-plug cords for OEM equipment (the local wall plug to IEC 60320), data center jumpers (IEC 60320) and industrial (IEC 60309) cords from our certification records, with the approvals each one carries.
These country pages are in beta. We are still completing the record of plugs, connectors and cords for each country, so more detail and updates are coming soon.
Three round pins with the earth pin offset; the 10 A T12 plug is the cord-set plug.
Cord-set standard: SN EN 60320-1; SN EN 60799. Cordage accepted: H05VV-F, H05VVH2-F, H05RN-F. Labels in German / French / Italian.
The wall plug used in Switzerland on one end and the IEC 60320 inlet on your equipment on the other — C13, C15, C5, C7 or C19. The cord an OEM ships in the box with equipment sold into Switzerland, and the one an office, lab or shop floor plugs straight into the wall; every cord here carries the approval Switzerland requires.

IEC 60320 jumpers — a C14 or C20 plug into the PDU, a C13, C15 or C19 connector into the server, switch or storage. For most countries these are our global cords: one part number carries the marks Switzerland requires, so a data center operator deploys the same cord in every region.

Switzerland uses the SEV 1011 (Type J) plug. Three round pins with the earth pin offset; the 10 A T12 plug is the cord-set plug. Plug ratings: SEV 1011 10 A · 250 V.
230 V at 50 Hz (also 400 V). Under the IEC scheme, IEC 60320 C13 / C14 cords are rated 10 A 250 V and C19 / C20 cords 16 A 250 V; a wall-plug cord carries its plug's own rating.
Switzerland requires EU DoC + CE accepted via MRA; voluntary SEV/Electrosuisse Safety mark, overseen by Eidgenössisches Starkstrominspektorat (ESTI) under Verordnung über elektrische Niederspannungserzeugnisse (NEV, SR 734.26). A cord marked "Approved for use in Switzerland" on this page carries that approval on our record; "No national approval required" means the record names none for that cord type.
Yes — 87 data center cords (C14 or C20 into the PDU, C13 / C15 / C19 into the equipment) are approved for use in Switzerland or need no national approval there. For most countries these are our global cords: one part number carries the marks several countries require.
Our cords approved for use in Switzerland carry CE Marking, ENEC Mark (European Norms Electrical Certification), KEMA-KEUR, SEV / S+ Mark, UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) and VDE Mark on the record. Every product page lists that cord's own approvals, and we can supply the certificate behind any of them.
H05VV-F, H05VVH2-F and H05RN-F. Our international cords use harmonised H05VV-F / H05RN-F cordage; North American cords use SJT / SJTW.
"Approved for use in Switzerland" means the cord carries the approval Switzerland requires for its type. "No national approval required in Switzerland" means Switzerland names no national approval for a cord of that type. Need the certificate behind a cord, or a cord for a country not listed? Ask us.
