About Japan 15A JIS8303 (5-15P) to Open Power Supply Cords

Japan JIS C 8303 (5-15P) Power Cords, Class I standard, 3-pin grounded. The plug looks the same as the North America 5-15P. The dimensional tolerances are more strict for the Japan plug. A North American plug may not fit into an outlet for Japan because of the tolerance differences. Manufactured with PSE approvals. Typical cordage uses VCTF/HVCTF/VCTFK jacket material. VCTF has a round shape and is rated to 60C. HVCTF has a round shape and is rated to 75C. VCTFK has an oval shape and is rated 60C. Available with IEC60320 C5, C13, C15, C19 and open-ended variations.
