Safety First Design of the Superior Power Density Saf-D-Grid Cables
The Anderson Saf-D-Grid Cables are rated for up to 600 Volts and 25 Amps, which is a substantially greater wattage than a standard connector for similar applications. These connectors were developed to suite the increasingly power hungry data center equipment while increasing space conservation with a High Density design paradigm. In order to keep the product safe, the connection points needed to have superior safety features since this is over twice the amount of power delivery as a standard connector. To achieve this, they designed the T-Latch locking mechanism, Earth First Connection and Arc Protection with a housing around the connection pins.
