In the ever evolving world of power supply and data center solutions, it can seem like there is no simple fix when your budget is running thin. Luckily, these little secure sleeves just might be what you are looking for and will not require you to purchase a high-end locking power cable. Although secure sleeves will never be as reliable or as functional as a locking power cable, it is an effective solution in most cases at a fraction of the cost.
Compatibility of Retention Sleeves to power sources and devices.
The secure sleeve can be used with a recessed connection point and is used on the power cable rather than the equipment or power source. All of the plugs and connectors in the IEC 60320 series are candidates for this application, and we stock options for all of them. We do not recommend using 2 (male and female) retention sleeves for the same connection. If your application requires this much additional material in the connection, chances are the connection is not to spec of the standard.
