P-Lite data center power density
Increase your watts per square foot with these high-density power cables. The P-Lite features a secure locking plug type, that will securely mate with a High-Density Power Distribution Unit while offering an ergonomic plug head that allows fingers to easily disconnect the locked plug when required. The plug was modeled after the widely popular P-Lock design and targeted at the quickly growing popularity of High-Density Data Centers.
High density locking P-Lite power cord options
These sophisticated power cables are offered in many IEC 60320 connector configurations and is currently only available in the C14 plug head configuration. Due to the intentional design of this for high-density environments, we generally only stock with the SVT “Slim” jacket type that is the standard jacket type for power cables in high density environments. We still offer many color and length options as always, to help your team find the specific cable to fit your rack and conserve space.

The IEC 60320 C13 is a grounded 3 Wire connector rated up to 250V and 15 Amps. The C13 mates with a C14 inlet, and is commonly used in a jumper cable scenario in IT Installations providing power from a PDU to a server, router, switch or other computing device. Most people know the C13 as 'the thing that plugs into my computer' because it is the standard connector used to power most desktop computers. In a desktop computer application, the most common cable is the NEMA 5-15P to C13, which connects your standard North American wall outlet to a desktop computer.

The IEC 60320 C14 is rated for 250VAC and 15 Amps. The P-Lite locking mechanism is an ergonomic advance of the standard P-Lock plug type, designed with high-density pdus in mind. It has a recessed plug head that allows space for fingers to easily install and un install the plugs. It can mate with various proprietary PDUs like Server Tech and Raritan.

The P-Lite plug head was created in response to the advent of smaller and smaller Power Distribution Units as Data Center Engineers aim to conserve more and more space in their Data Racks. When a Power Supply or Power Distribution Unit is crowded with plugs inserted into it, it can be very difficult to safely disconnect one of them which is why the P-Lite was created. This plug head features the P-Lock locking tab on one side, and a recessed plug head on the other in other to allow fingers to ergonomically fit into the space to dis-engage the lock.
