NEMA 5-15P to OPEN (WHIPS PIGTAILS) - NACC. NACC, North American Color Code, refers to the color code of the conductor insulation which is BLACK / WHITE / GREEN. T NEMA 5 standard specifies three wire (hot-neutral-ground), two blade one ground pin, grounded devices. Never remove the ground pin to force a three prong plug to fit into a 2 prong outlet. (i.e don't make a 5-15 into a 1-15). Doing so will result in loss of ground and may result in loss of line/neutral polarity.
