About IEC 60320 C14 C21 Power Cords
This cable is designed for very specific scenarios and its use cases are rather narrow. The connector is the “Heaviest-Duty” configuration for these IT applications and is reserved for the Highest Output devices that emit so much heat (upwards of 155 °C (311 °F)) that they require this inlet type to ensure safety. Customers will use this power cable to power one of these devices from a Standard PDU. While there are some occurrences where this is an adequate solution, it is likely your device will require more power than what is left on a standard PDU.
