About Zonit Z-Lock Power Cord
Zonit Z-Lock is end of life. Its replacement is Z-Lock Plus™ (Z-Lock+) — the same dual-locking IEC power cord with colored ID rings, a one-hand sliding-shell release and a lower-profile locking nut, built by World Cord Sets in East Windsor, Connecticut. Z-Lock cords already in your racks keep working, and Z-Lock+ locks into the same standard C13/C14 and C19/C20 outlets and inlets, so the two can be mixed as you replace them.
The original Z-LOCK is a universally compatible, dual-locking power cord: it locks C13, C14, C15, C19 and C20 cords on both ends, eliminating accidental disconnects. The remaining Z-Lock stock is listed below.

The IEC 60320 C14 is a Plug (Male) configuration rated for 250VAC and 15 Amps. The Z-Lock is a universal locking plug type, designed to lock into place by expanding the size of the plug head after insertion by spinning the rotary lock on the plug head.

The IEC 60320 C13 is a grounded 3 Wire connector rated up to 250V and 15 Amps. The C13 mates with a C14 inlet, and is commonly used in a jumper cable scenario in IT Installations providing power from a PDU to a server, router, switch or other computing device. Most people know the C13 as 'the thing that plugs into my computer' because it is the standard connector used to power most desktop computers. In a desktop computer application, the most common cable is the NEMA 5-15P to C13, which connects your standard North American wall outlet to a desktop computer.

The IEC 60320 C19 Locking Connector is rated for 20 Amps and 250VAC. It is a grounded connector type, with the A-Lock feature for latching the connector in place once it is mated. The A-Lock is a universal locking mechanism that internally pinches the pins of the male/inlet that it connects with. This effectively holds the connector in place until the user pinches and pulls back the two red tabs located on either side of the connector body.

About Zonit Z-Lock Power Cord
About the original Zonit Z-Lock
Z-LOCK was Zonit’s first dual-locking IEC power cord: a C14 or C20 plug that locks into the PDU outlet and a C13, C15 or C19 connector that locks into the equipment inlet, on standard IEC 60320 receptacles with no special PDU. It shipped in 14 AWG (15 A) and 12 AWG (20 A) builds and several jacket colors.
Moving to Z-Lock+
Z-Lock Plus™ (Z-Lock+) succeeds it with six changes: colored ID rings, an integrated sliding-shell release in place of the red tabs, a visible seating line, a lower-profile nut for dense outlet spacing, tube labels, and North American manufacture on World Cord Sets’ own line in Connecticut. Because both lock into the same standard outlets and inlets, racks can be migrated one cord at a time. Not sure which family fits? Talk to an engineer.

How to Choose Between Z-Lock Stock and Z-Lock+
When to buy remaining Z-Lock inventory
Z-Lock is end of life, but the stock listed on this page is new, certified, and ships same day. It is the right choice when:
- You need an exact replacement for an existing Z-Lock cord in a live rack

- Budget constraints favor clearance pricing over the upgraded model
When to move to Z-Lock+
Z-Lock+ is the current production model, built in Connecticut on World Cord Sets' own line. Choose it when:
- You are deploying a new rack or refreshing an existing one and want the latest design
- One-hand release and colored ID rings matter for your operations team
- You want a product with an active production run and full OEM/blanket-order support
Migration is straightforward
Because both Z-Lock and Z-Lock+ lock into the same standard IEC 60320 C13 and C19 outlets, you can replace cords one at a time without taking a rack offline. Mixed deployments are fully compatible.
