13 Amp IEC 60320 C14 to C13 cord sets are the "medium duty" option in the range of C14 to C13 Power Cords. Utilizing 16awg conductors with a robust SJT outer jacket, these cord sets are a great tradeoff between thickness, performance, and cost. These cord sets are commonly used in data centers to connect a PDU to a piece of IT equipment that require more power than "light duty" 10A. We stock a variety of standard lengths ranging from 1' to 15'. Standard color is BLACK. Standard wire gauge is 16AWG.

The IEC 60320 C13 is a grounded 3 Wire connector rated up to 250V and 15 Amps. The C13 mates with a C14 inlet, and is commonly used in a jumper cable scenario in IT Installations providing power from a PDU to a server, router, switch or other computing device. Most people know the C13 as 'the thing that plugs into my computer' because it is the standard connector used to power most desktop computers. In a desktop computer application, the most common cable is the NEMA 5-15P to C13, which connects your standard North American wall outlet to a desktop computer.

General Information about IEC 60320 C14 to C13 16awg 13A Cord Sets
16awg C14 to C13 cord sets are typically less common than either 10A (18awg) or 15A (14awg). However, are the perfect option when your equipment draws slightly more current than a standard 10A cord set can provide but not enough to need a 15A cord set. Because the wire gauge is smaller than a 15A cord set, 16awg cords are cheaper, take of less volume, and are highly durable.
